Description
First Congregational Church of Hadley is hosting their annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Route 47 and Route 9 in Hadley. Admission is free. Fun for the whole family, the festival features a tag sale, baked goods, pies to go, lunch, and a silent auction. Come to find treasures for your home including furniture, tools, jams and jellies, craft items, hand knit and sewn items, and children and adult books. Of particular interest is the ?Golumpki to go? sale. Hadley is Polish food country and the recipe used won the 2010 Golabki Making Contest sponsored by the Hadley Fire Department. The featured activity is the Concord Coach rides. The Hadley Farm Museum is a proud owner of one of the unique Concord Coaches, built in Concord, NH in the early 1800s. The coach rides are wonderful, it's like stepping back almost 200 years in time as you ride down the street in the horse drawn carriage. Barry Roberts' Shire horses pull the coach. If you are not afraid of heights, you can even ride up top - it's a bit of a climb! While you?re enjoying the festivities, stop next door and visit the Hadley Farm Museum which will be open during the festival.
