This event is part of YIDSTOCK 2015: Montreal-based Socalled is at the cutting edge of contemporary Yiddish music. A pianist, producer, composer, arranger, rapper, singer, and magician, Socalled crosses boundaries, mixing old and new sounds, acoustic and electric instruments, and digital and analog recording techniques, while exploring different cultures and styles, all in the service of creating something catchy, smart, hilarious, emotional, timeless - and authentically Yiddish. Socalled, who wowed the crowd at the first Yidstock, will be joined by his regular touring band plus surprise guests, making this a one-of-a-kind, Yidstock-only event.
