This event is part of YIDSTOCK 2015: Sklamberg & the Shepherds brings together three of the world's leading performers of traditional Eastern European Jewish music: Lorin Sklamberg, cofounder and vocalist of the Klezmatics; clarinetist Merlin Shepherd, an innovative force in the klezmer renaissance and mentor to countless young clarinetists; and Polina Shepherd, an in-demand vocalist and composer originally from Siberia. This long-awaited collaboration blends traditional and newly composed Yiddish and Russian song with klezmer and southern Mediterranean music.
