Description
Northampton, MA – September 25, 2025 – The Cutchins Children’s Clinic is turning 40, and the community is invited to join the celebration! On Thursday, September 25, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Cutchins Programs will host a “Wicked Fun 40th Birthday Party” in a tent located behind the Clinic at 17 Brewster Court in Northampton. This milestone celebration marks four decades of care and the grand opening of the Clinic’s expanded first floor, designed to meet the growing needs of children and families in the Pioneer Valley. New services will soon include neuropsychological evaluations, occupational therapy, and neurofeedback, alongside the Clinic’s long-standing, trauma-informed mental health services. “What makes the Children’s Clinic stand out is our thoughtful, high-quality clinical work, guided by a commitment to be in kids’ lives ‘for as long as it takes.’ This model of care is rare and deeply needed in today’s mental health landscape,” said Nancy Pierce, Clinician. “The Clinic has been committed to the children of our community for 40 years now, supporting growth and healing in the face of mental health struggles, major life stressors, and trauma,” said Amanda Jenkins-Harrison, Program Director and Vice President of Community Services. “We treat each family with the same care and respect we would want for our own loved ones. Any of us could need the support provided here at any time. I could not be more proud to lead this incredible team in such life-changing work. Now, more than ever, we need the community’s support to continue providing healing for local youth.” Event Highlights: Tours of the new first-floor space and clinic Games and activities for children of all ages Brief remarks from community leaders and staff A special award presentation honoring Clinic founder Cynthia Monahan The event is free and open to the public. Families, alumni, supporters, and community members are encouraged to drop in anytime between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to celebrate 40 years of healing—and to see what’s next for the Children’s Clinic.
