Designing Books with Children

Description

In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the book form as a platform for storytelling with children. Together we will construct books that allow you to teach bookmaking techniques to your students while also giving children agency over their own designs and story arcs. We’ll experiment with a range of materials that are inexpensive and easy to find. Participants will walk away with examples of several different book forms to take back to their classroom, community center, or home.
