Description
Photographer Marisa Scheinfeld talks about her years-long project documenting the decline of the Borscht Belt, a longtime popular vacation spot for Jews from the New York area. Her evocative, large-scale images reveal the ghostly remnants of the region’s glory years as well as powerful evidence of nature’s claim on the now-vacant resorts and their landscapes. The exhibit will be at the Yiddish Book Center through October 2015.
