Job Title: Front of House Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
Masuda's Cafe is a Halal brunch café in Amherst, MA, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a South Asian fusion. We are looking for a dedicated and personable Front of House Assistant Manager to help lead our service team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about hospitality. Key Responsibilities:
 

• Support daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including hosts, servers, and baristas.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any guest issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and timekeeping.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure communication and consistency across all service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations.
• Monitor inventory of front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed.
• Support special events and seasonal promotions.

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• A hands-on leader who leads by example and is comfortable stepping into any FOH role as needed.
